I called the Mayors Office several times over the past weeks to find out what the problem was and…Read More why the bulk wasn't being picked up. Instead of an answer, I was met with an ANSWERING MACHINE! REALLY?
Is that where my tax dollars went? Unreal!
I'm waiting for them to refuse to pick it up, due to the piles are most likely now larger than the guidelines issued. However if they were picked up weekly, the piles would have fallen under the guidelines.
Not to mention my favorite, trash pickers who constantly throw things around to get a better look - and LEAVE IT THAT WAY!
After 52 years, I'm ashamed that I Live in Hamden!

I am just amazed at all the paranoia I read about here on the Hamden Patch.

MAC, no point in making the case. Mike's has his misguided ideology. The one thing that I'm…Read More concerned about is. Now that we found like minded people here in Hamden, it's about time we get together. You are 100% correct in your evaluation. Like I said, Mike doesn't pay property taxes in Hamden. He is irrelevant. What's this about Christians? He is baiting you. Stay away. Changing the subject? Can't stay on task? A kid.
Don't go there.

Life,
Awesome attempt to demonstrate your word skills.
I would suggest you focus more on logic,…Read More however.
For example, how could you view the world through rose colored glasses with your eyes closed? You love little tiny idioms, but when ridiculing people for their lack of ability to reason, please employ reason.

It is necessary to control overpopulation of certain species such as deer and beaver in some areas,…Read More or you will see great loss and balance of natural habitats that serve all wildlife and possible extinction of many other species. There are tight controls in place that regulate trapping. Beaver in particular have the ability to completely alter one natural habitat type and replace with another to suit their needs. If left unmonitored it can create havoc to humans and other species. There are various techniques to try to fool the beavers into not completely blocking water flow, by using underground pipes that are placed below their dams (referred to as beaver deceivers) but it can be costly.

I am cheered by the few of us who have responded and ave woken up to what this president is about.…Read More I fear for our freedoms but even more the the change in our country's ethics. If we dont have individualism, responsibility and hard work to pull ourselves up we are doomed. I pray the Union breaks up and a Few like minded states go their on way. This is not a suicide pact. I may have to pick up a confederate flag. In fact i fly a Dont tread on me flag and more importantly, a US Revolution 11 flag. It looks like a Betsy Ross flah with the roman numeral 2 in the middle of the circle to show that we might have to fight another revolution to take our country back. I know we can survive bad presidents, we got over Jimmy Carter, didnt we? But then we got a Reagan and jimmy thankfully only had four years to mess this country up. This clown is getting eight. Now he has no fear of ever facing the electorate again and he is letting his charade of being a moderate fall by the wayside. His true colrs are showing. What the heck happened to the Saudi guy who lit up the terrorist watch list in Boston? He is gone, Napolitano says it was just a case of mistaken identity and he over stayed his visa so the sent him home. He was here on a student visa and was supoosed to be studying in Ohio and his visa should have been good until May or so. Lying sacks of you ll kno what. I have emailed our congress people and demanded answers. I will continue to call until I get one but I have little faith. Please make the calls, too! The more people who ask will put pressure on our representatives. If the press wont do their job, we the people must.

It's sad that I see so many kids not taking care of their parents properly. Some of it is denial, some of it is fear, some of it is just plain ignorance. Thank you to all you kids out there who are there for your parents!!! I commend you!!!!
