I live in East Hartford... and the reason I chose a Tupperware Fundraiser is becuase when the itemRead Moreg ets used the person can always remember that they helped 2 children because off every purchase the kids get 40% of that sale... So that is how Buying the Tupperware helps the children...This has nothing to do with the seller making money it has to do with wanting to help the kids and leave the memory of these two little ones with those who helped...

Beth, when the Patch Company went to this regional format many of the readers of the HamdenPatchRead Morehav e stopped commenting on news articles. This new Patch format does not have the personal touch to it anymore, it has one size fits all. Readers of local newspaper what to feel connected to news events and news articles, and this can only be accomplished by local news reporters who have insights into the towns and people they are reporting on. Without those insights readers wind up with copy and paste press releases. The same thing can be said about local AM/FM broadcast news reporting. Profit over quality.

Angela, two local politicians were recently observed in a parking lot trying to unlock the door ofRead Moret heir town owned car with a coat hanger. Here is their dialogue: Jackson: I can't seem to get this door unlocked! Leng: Well, you'd better hurry up and try harder! It’s starting to rain, and the top is down! LOL

Very interesting!! I called the mayors office this week because our family of five create moreRead Moretrash than our container can hold. I was told if I wanted another bin I would have to pay $150.00 for it. Classic Hamden mind frame...(Lets do it now and think about it later) Our taxes have gone up every single year for 12 years and now you want me to pay $150.00 for a garbage can. The sad thing about all this is people are going to start dumping trash all around Hamden because they can't afford $150.00 for another can. I have a second can of my own and its the same exact dimensions of the town's can but they refuse to empty it because its not registered. This is ridiculous!!! I do have idea....maybe we can use the second floor of the Town Hall parking garage...yeah the one that is not structurally sound to dump the extra garbage. If you see that people are dumping trash around Hamden then please be sure to call Mayor Jackson and thank him for "keeping Hamden green" MB
