ARE YOU 60 OR OLDER OR DISABLED? DO YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY MANAGING ROUTINE MONTHLY BILL PAYING?

New Haven, CT - RSVP of South Central Connecticut, a program of the Agency on Aging, is operating the AARP Money Management Program in the greater New Haven region. The program was established in 1981 and is currently in 24 states and Washington, D.C.

The Money Management Program matches trained volunteers with low to moderate-income older or disabled adults who have difficulty managing their routine monthly bill paying. Volunteers assist at least once a month with budgeting; opening, organizing and keeping track of financial papers and bills; sending out mail; writing checks for the client’s signature; and balancing the checkbook. Services are free to clients that meet income eligibility guidelines.

Money Management volunteers are screened, trained, supervised, monitored and insured to provide assistance with money management for those who are unable to manage on their own; all volunteers sign confidentiality agreements.

For more information, please contact Jo Lifrieri 203-752-3059 or jlifrieri@aoapartnerships.org.

RSVP of South Central Connecticut, a Senior Corps program, recruits and places adults age 55 and over in volunteer positions throughout New Haven county.  RSVP volunteers focus on meeting pressing community needs including the environment, education, healthy futures and disaster preparedness.  RSVP of South Central Connecticut is sponsored by the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut.
