Hamden doggy tails are wagging: the Best Friends Pet Care Treat Truck for Dogs is heading back to town with free cookies and ice cream for canines.
The colorful, doggy-logo’d truck will be at the Hamden Dog Run at Bassett Park on Friday, Sept. 28 from 10 am to noon and at the Southington Dog Park on Mill Street in Southington from 2 to 4 pm. At each stop, the staff gives away doggy ice cream treats and cookies for pups and healthy treats for their humans, along with fun items like tennis balls, paw towels and paw-shaped bag clips.

Best Friends offers boarding, grooming, day camp and training at 227 Cheshire Road in Bethany. The company created its Treat Truck for Dogs to give the community a taste of the fun and caring its staff provides to pet guests every day in its pet care centers. The Treat Truck has been on the road since summer 2011 and has visited 18 states across the eastern and central U.S.
