Presidential Debate

“Trickle down government will be the new catch phrase summarizing President Obama’s entire effort to-date,” said Ron Gambardella Chairmen of the Hamden Republican Town Committee. “From the current state of our economy, it is evident that big government is not the solution for a successful turn-around, but it is the premise by which President Obama has based his entire re-election campaign. It has not worked in the past, nor will it work over the next four years.”

The other night, millions of Americans watched the first presidential debate between Democrat President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney.  “Mitt Romney made the case that new leadership is needed in Washington.  After four years of a stagnant economy and a rudderless foreign policy, we finally have some hope that real change will come to Washington with Mitt Romney as President,” said Mr. Gambardella.

On November 6, 2012, Hamden residents will go to the polls and weigh in on their preference for the next President of the United States. “The issues debated in Washington like job creation, our national debt and the inability to pull our nation out of recession deeply affect the residents of Hamden.  It is incumbent on all of us to vote on Election Day and send a message to Washington.  The Republican Party in Hamden is doing all it can to ensure that Mitt Romney is the next President of the United States and we are actively organizing to make that happen.  We welcome any and all Hamden residents to join us in this goal,” said Mr. Gambardella.

The Hamden Republican Town Committee meets the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Hamden Senior Center located behind the Miller Library at 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT 06518.  A limited number of Romney/Ryan lawn signs will be available for distribution.
