Hamden resident named assistant director of admissions at Quinnipiac University

Paul Murray, of Hamden, has been appointed assistant director of admissions at Quinnipiac University.

In his new position, Murray advises adult learners who are contemplating bachelor or graduate degrees from Quinnipiac University Online.

“I completed my degree as an adult learner so I can relate to the trials and occasional stress involved with returning to school,” Murray said. “My background in sales and as a business owner also lends itself to understanding the overall decision-making process.”

Murray said he enjoys the team atmosphere within Quinnipiac University Online and looks forward to getting more involved.

“I was most attracted to Quinnipiac because of its reputation for providing excellent graduate programs,” he said. “I’m most looking forward to assisting students in the decision process to return to school and explaining why Quinnipiac is a great choice.”

Murray earned a bachelor of general studies and human services from the University of Connecticut. In addition to owning a business, he has been an account executive and manager at various companies since 1982.

He has three children, is active in Donate Life Connecticut, where he helps raise awareness of organ and tissue donation, and is an active member of the Hamden Rotary.

Quinnipiac offers an online occupational therapy doctorate, and the following online graduate degrees: master of business administration, master of science in business analytics, master of science in information technologymaster of science in interactive media, master of science in instructional design, master of science in journalism – writing track,  master of science in organizational leadership,  master of science in sports journalism – writing track and master of science in teacher leadership. The university also offers online bachelor’s degree completion programs in health sciences studies and nursing.
