Local Heroes Fill-the-Boot for MDA!

Hamden, CT July 18, 2013 - Hamden L2687 Fire Department truly are everyday heroes. These men and women keep the community safe and now they will stand together and join the fight against neuromuscular disease by filling-the-boot for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

    This coming Saturday (July 20, 2013) Hamden L2687 will be collecting donations on the corner of Dixwell and Whitney from 9am until 3pm; weather permitting. All donations benefit local Connecticut individuals and families who are affected by neuromuscular disease. So far, Hamden Fire has raised over $2,500. Any contribution helps.

    MDA is a nonprofit health agency that is dedicated to curing Muscular Dystrophy, including ALS and other related diseases by funding worldwide research. MDA also provides comprehensive health care and support service, and advocacy and education to individuals and families in  Connecticut. The majority of contributions to MDA come from individual donors.
