Apple Festival Time at Dunbar United Church of Christ

And apple pies are only the beginning of what the festival has to offer.

Dunbar United Church of Christ will hold its 43rd Annual Apple Festival on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to purchasing delicious apple pies made by the members of the Dunbar Women’s Fellowship Committee, a wide range of apple dishes are available to eat at the festival, including a slice of apple pie or some apple crisp, apple pancakes, and of course the festival’s famous Danish specialty, aeble skivers.  Apple cinnamon ice cream sundaes, a hit at last year’s event, are also on the menu while they last.

The Apple Festival also features handmade craft items, jewelry and bargains at “Grandma’s Attic” tag sale. There will be games and prizes for the children and “Apple Jenny” will be there to greet everyone at the door.
