Come Join the Fun — Hamden Youth Services' Youth Center Open Enrollment

The Youth Center offers a wide range of activities for kids in 5th through 11th grade, both through the summer and during the school year.

The Hamden Youth Services’ Youth Center announces open enrollment for Hamden youth currently in grades 5 through 11.

The Center is located at 60 Putnam Ave. in the Board of Education building. Summer hours are Mondays through Fridays 8:30 a.m. — 3 p.m., July 8 through August 23.

Summer activities include three field trips a week (i.e. Quassy, movies, Lake Compounce, bowling, etc.), Non Violent Communication Program with Community Mediation, arts and crafts, basketball, board games, video games, special visitors and much more.

Lunch is provided on Mondays and Fridays and snack is provided every day. Weekly fees for vacation weeks are $70.00 per week for Youth Center members and $140.00 per week for non members.

After school hours are from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to the Hamden Public Schools’ calendar. Activities include homework time and assistance, basketball, arts and crafts, games, foosball, ping pong, video games, computers, daily snack and much more.

Yearly registration fee is based on household income and ranges from $50.00 to $110.00 per year. This fee covers July 1, 2013 — June 30, 2014. Transportation is provided from Ridge Hill School, Hamden Middle School and Hamden High School.
