CT Lottery Bingo Ticket Pays Big for Hamden Man

From the CT Lottery:

While visiting his brother last week, Frank Davis of Hamden mentioned that he wanted to pick up a CT Lottery Bingo ticket to play.  Frank’s brother had already purchased a “Bonus Ball Bingo” ticket earlier that day, so he gave it to Frank. Later on, Frank scratched the ticket and revealed the “X” needed to win the game’s $25,000 top prize.

“When I scratched the ticket and saw what I won, I had to look at it again and again.  I couldn’t believe it,” Frank told lottery officials with a laugh.

Davis, who has been employed by the CT Transit as a bus operator for the last 32 years, said he was “still in awe” when he claimed his $25,000 prize at Lottery headquarters in Rocky Hill.

“There are a few things that I need to do around my house, but the rest of the prize money I’ll be sharing with my brother and my family,” he said.

For selling Davis’ top prize winning ticket, Krauszer’s Food Stores, located at 911 Campbell Avenue in West Haven, will receive a $250 bonus check from the CT Lottery.

There are 4 top prizes of $25,000 in the $2 game Bonus Ball Bingo; currently 1 top prize remains to be claimed.  Overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 4.41.
