UPDATED: Death Row Dogs at the Hartford Animal Shelter

Their time is up in the next few days, and because so many are without power, they're not getting networked as they should -- and may die because of it.

UPDATE: Dogs have been given an extra two days before they are put down, so they will be available until Thursday for Expresso and Friday for the others.

The Hartford Animal Shelter has several dogs whose 10-day hold is up Tuesday and Wednesday -- dogs not adopted by their 10th day are euthanized. Because of Saturday's storm and all of the power outages that came with it, these guys aren't getting the networking Hartford pound dogs normally get, which has led to an almost 100 percent adoption rate this year. But so many have no Internet access because of the storm, to these pups are in danger of losing their lives if no one steps up for them by their deadlines. Can you open your home and your heart to a homeless dog?
