Deli Night at Congregation Mishkan Israel

Food, music and entertainment will be featured March 24.

On Saturday, March 24, Congregation Mishkan Israel’s Brotherhood of Men & Women presents its annual Deli Night.

The evening, which begins at 6:00 p.m., includes an all-you-can-eat buffet of homemade great deli food, wonderful music, and comedic entertainment.

This year’s featured comedian is Michele Balan, one of the finalists on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and she was the Last Women Comic Standing. She has appeared on various episodes of Comics Unleashed and The Joy Behar Show and was invited to perform on Jay Leno's Tonight show three times.

Voted one of the Top 10 Comics by Backstage Magazine, Michele is a stand-up comedian with class and attitude.  Sometimes the class has to move over for the attitude.  “Laughter brings us together,” she says as she travels the world headlining comedy clubs, theaters, cruises, and corporate events.

The community is invited to attend.  For early bird discount ticket prices, call the synagogue office by March 19  at (203) 288-3877.  The Congregation Mishkan Israel is located at 785 Ridge Road in Hamden.

But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
