Have you ever danced with a Torah: Want to know how long a Torah is? Well come to Simchat Torah Services at Congregation Mishkan Israel on Sunday, October 7 at 7:00 p.m.  We’ll be celebrating the holiday by marching around the Sanctuary (and into the sukkah, if the weather is nice) with Torahs, flags, lulav and etrog and singing with Cantor Giglio. Everyone can help as we unwind one of our scrolls around the Sanctuary so that Rabbi Brockman can read the last verses of Deuteronomy, point out key sections in the Torah, and then begin the first verses of Genesis.  At Mishkan Israel, we also mark this special holiday with the Consecration of all students new to our Religious School. It’s a fun and exciting evening for people of all ages.
