Hamden Happy Tails Holds 6th Annual Halloween Costume Pet Parade

The Hamden Happy Tails Foundation will hold its 6th Annual Halloween Costume Pet parade on Sunday October 27th at its new location, Hamden Town Center Park, located between Miller Library and Hamden Middle School on Dixwell Avenue. Use the Middle School entrance for plenty of parking.

Pet Parade registration will run from 11:30am - 12:45pm.  The parade begins at 1:00pm led by Grand Marshall Steve Savino of AM1220 WQUN.  Judging and awards immediately following the parade.

New to this event will be a Flea Market which opens at 8:00am for set up and runs from 9:30am-2:00pm.  Participation is encouraged for families, non profits, vendors, crafters, and antique dealers.  Tables to be supplied by participants.  Fee per space is $20.00.   Also new to this year is a food court.  Vendors from the Hamden Farmers Market in are making a "curtain call" appearance and will be on site from 9:30am -2:00pm.

Don't miss visiting with our pet rescue volunteers.  There will be a wonderful cross section of dogs and cats will be available for adoption.  Please visit and open your home and heart to a rescue animal.  

This years event is dedicated to the memory of New Haven Register reporter Ann DeMatteo, who was an avid supporter of the Pet Parade and served as head judge. All proceeds benefit the Foundation's Medical Fund.  See you at the Park!
