March Happenings at Congregation Mishkan Israel

Tot Shabat, Purim Carnival planned for next month.

 

Parents & Toddlers Together

Back by popular demand, Congregation Mishkan Israel is starting a new session of Parents & Toddlers Together on Wednesday, March 7.

The class, for toddlers 12 -24 months and their parent/guardian, is an introduction to group learning. This sensory experience includes storytime, songs, holiday celebrations, creative movement and art.

The eight-session program meets weekly on Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m.  – 11:00 a.m. and is open to the community. The program is located at 785 Ridge Rd. in Hamden.

Purim Carnival

The community is invited to join Congregation Mishkan Israel for a fun filled Purim Celebration for all ages.

On Sunday, March 4, the synagogue’s youth group MITYOR will sponsor  the annual Purim Carnival from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The event features favorite games, a haunted house and moon bounce. 

Erev Purim Service 

On Wednesday, March 7, the community is invited come in costume to the Erev Purim Service at 7 p.m. to hear the story of Esther in the most hilarious manner possible.

Tot Shabbat

Congregation Mishkan Israel (CMI) invites families with children 6 years and under to a Tot Shabbat on Saturday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m.

The celebrations of Shabbat, led by Cantor Giglio, Nursery School Director Bec Luty and Religious School Director Michelle Goldstein, are a wonderful opportunity for families with preschool aged children to get to know each other and enjoy an evening of blessings, stories, food and fun. A potluck lunch follows the service.
