One Year Later, Patrick's Rebirth

It was a year ago today that Patrick was found in a garbage bin in a New Jersey apartment complex. See how far he's come.

A year ago today, the dog that would become known as Patrick the Miracle Dog was found in a trash bin in a New Jersey apartment complex. His story was chronicled around the world, including .

Emaciated and near death, the pit bull mix was brought to a New Jersey veternary hospital and nursed back to health. He was named Patrick in honor of St. Patrick's Day, the day after he was found.

His former owner, Kisha Curtis, is still facing animal cruelty charges and has denied tossing the dog down the garbage chute. She has told police she was unable to care for the dog and left him tied to a railing and doesn't know how he ended up in the garbage.

Today Patrick is enjoying the good life in a foster home, and his foster parents are hoping the courts will award them full ownership once the legal proceedings are complete.
