Urgent in Hamden: Jax Needs a New Home

Jax is only about a year and a half old, but his life will be ending soon if someone doesn't save him.

Five months ago Jax was found wandering in a Hartford park and was adopted from the Hartford Animal Shelter. But his new home isn't working out because he doesn't get along with the resident dog.

Jax has gone through basic training classes. He's very food-motivated, smart and willing to please. He loves taking long walks and playing fetch in the backyard — sticks are his favorite.

He's energetic, goofy, loves attention, loves people and is affectionate. He'll take any chance he gets to sit on your lap and smother you with kisses.

Jax would do best in a household without children because he is a jumper and mouthy. Finding him the right home is urgent because he is dog selective and is not getting along with the resident dog.

Jax needs someone he can trust, someone who will be consistent, loving and patient. He still needs some work, but with the right home he will flourish and be your very best friend.

Jax is located in Hamden. To meet Jax, email Jeannie at jmcollings76@sbcglobal.net
