Urgents at the Hartford Animal Shelter

Three have until Thursday at 3 p.m. to find homes, another has until Friday.

These four dogs have only hours left to find homes. They're at the Hartford Animal Shelter.

Anyone interested in adopting or fostering a dog from City of Hartford Animal Shelter must first fill out an application. Email ctshelterdogs@gmail.com for an application. Sherry the ACO, will be reviewing all of these applications prior to setting up appointments to meet the dogs.

Donations also are accepted for the shelter at its Chip-In:

All of these dogs are picked up from the streets of Hartford. Most of them have never known the kindness of a human, a regular meal or the warmth of a bed. Many are given their first bone, their first toy when they enter the shelter. We like to think of their stay in the shelter as their transition time. They are coming from a life of neglect and in many cases, abuse, and are at the shelter waiting for that second chance at life; the chance they should have been given the first time around. The items we purchase from your generous donations provide the dogs with comfort and give them something to occupy their time as they await their forever home.

Thank you for considering a Hartford Shelter dog!

while receiving Staples Rewards does help defray the cost of supplies for the teachers, they areRead More STILL putting cash out of their own pockets! This should not be. But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
