Hamden, CT (February 19, 2012) – Bugsy Malone Jr. will take center stage at The Square Foot Theatre from March 8-11, 2012 in the Hamden Plaza (2100 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden). Tickets are now on sale.

 

A tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920s gangster movie, the show follows Fat Sam, who runs a popular club in town and who is in danger of being closed down by his rival Dandy Dan. The story tells of the rise of Bugsy Malone and the battle for power between Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Come and see this fabulous showcase of talented young local performers.

 

The production, produced by Jared Andrew Brown and Patrick Laffin, is part of the theatre’s Children’s Series. The show is directed by Patrick Laffin and choreographed by Jennifer Kaye Pytlak. Music is directed by Kaite Corda. Assistant Direction is provided by Toniann Carey and Annalisa Biceglia is the Assistant Choreographer. The show is sponsored by The Jamie A. Hulley Arts Foundation.

 

Tickets for Bugsy Malone Jr. are $15. A discounted price of $12 is available with advanced sale ticket orders. All tickets for the Saturday March 10th show are $30 and include the show and postshow fundraising event featuring a silent auction and live music. Please call (203)464-8212 to reserve your tickets. Shows are at 7:30p on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday March 8, 9, &10 and at 2:00p on Sunday March 11. The mission of The Square Foot Theatre is to establish and maintain a venue for visual and performaing arts through support and education while providing opportunities to experience the arts, through observation, hands-on participation and education.
