Hamden, CT (August 1, 2012) – The Little Mermaid Jr. will take center stage at The Square Foot Theatre from August 23-26, 2012 in the Hamden Plaza (2100 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden). Tickets are now on sale.

 

In a magical kingdom fathoms below, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince Prince Eric that she is the girl with the enchanting voice.

 

The production, produced and choreographed for Quick Change Productions, is part of the theatre’s Children Series and will feature a cast of more than 100 children and adults from  throughout the State. The show is sponsored by The Jamie A. Hulley Arts Foundation.

 

Tickets for The Little Mermaid Jr are $15 in advance ($12 for children under 10) or they can be purchased at the door for $20 ($15 for children under 10). Tickets in advance can be purchased by calling (203)464-8212. Shows are at 7:30pm on Thursday August 23rd, 2012, Friday August 24th, Saturday August 25th , and at 7:00pm on Sunday August 26th. There are two matinee shows at 2:00pm on Saturday August 25th and Sunday August 26th. The mission of The Square Foot Theatre is to establish and maintain a venue for visual and performaing arts through support and education while providing opportunities to experience the arts, through observation, hands-on participation and education.
