The series is presented with generous support from the estate of former Commissioner Emeritus Peter C. Hereld.

The Hamden Arts Commission continues its 2013 -2014 Peter C. Hereld Sunday Performance Series on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. when the renowned trio, Moxie, takes the Hamden stage for a concert entitled "Three Ladies of Swing."

Moxie, known for vocal harmonies and swingin' rhythm, is a labor of love for Dorothy Goldberg, Kate O'Brien and Diane Orson, all full-time musicians with a love of swing music. They write and perform their original arrangements in the jazzy style of the famous female vocal trios, with choreography and costumes reminiscent of the 1940s.

Moxie will sing such favorite American  songs as "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo."

The event will be held in the handicapped-accessible Thornton Wilder Hall at Miller Cultural Complex, 2901 Dixwell Ave. Admission is $7 general admission/ $5 for senior citizens, students and children 12 and under. Tickets are sold at the door only.

The series is presented with generous support from the estate of former Commissioner Emeritus Peter C. Hereld.
