Hamden Arts Commission Sunday Concert Series Starts Today

Up today: "Serenata Italiana: From Neapolitan Classics to the Rat Pack" by singer Rich DiPalma.

The Hamden Art Commission's 2013 - 2014 season of "Peter C. Hereld Sunday Performance Series" begins today at 2 p.m. with a concert entitled "Serenata Italiana: From Neapolitan Classics to the Rat Pack" by singer Rich DiPalma.

DiPalma’s mastery of beloved Italian songs, and his magnetic personal charm, have made him one of the region’s most popular performers.

On November 24, the unique Brazilian group, Sambeleza will present "Brazilian Songs with a Jazz Twist." The musicians of Sambeleza are outstanding U.S. and Brazilian interpreters of the great songs of the bossa nova and samba traditions, as well as outstanding jazz artists in their own right.
