The New Haven Register reports that a Hamden teen performed Monday night on the NBC talent competition program, "The Voice."
Avery Wilson lives in Hamden and attends the Cooperative Arts and Humanities school in New Haven, according to the Register, and was the last person to appear on the show.
Wilson sang Usher’s “Without You” as the last performance of the night, according to the report.
"The Voice holds blind auditions where singers perform and four judges have their backs to the stage," the Register reports. "Each judge hits a button to turn around, signaling that they want the performer to join their team. All four judges wanted Wilson."
