Business Spotlight: Theroux Auto Body Earns Super Service Award

The 2013 Angie's List award reflects company's "consistently high level of customer service."

A Hamden auto body shop has been singled out by the consumer website Angie's List for its customer service.

Theroux Auto Body of  64 Rossotto Dr. was recently awarded the Angie’s List Super Service Award, "reflecting an exemplary year of auto body and collision repair service provided to members Angie’s List in 2013."

“This is just tremendous," said owner Doug Theroux. "I want to thank my customers for speaking so highly of our work and for taking the time to post their reviews.”

“Only about 5 percent of the companies Theroux Auto Body competes with in Connecticut are able to earn our Super Service Award,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “It’s a mark of consistently great customer service.”

Theroux Auto Body is a third generation family-owned business.

“My grandfather started the company in 1927, when wheel spokes were made of wood,” Theroux said, “and as long as Connecticut residents are looking for quality autobody repair, we’ll be here.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award 2013 winners have met strict eligibility requirements, which include an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade, according to Hicks. The company must be in good standing with Angie’s List, have a fully complete profile, pass a background check and abide by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality. Members can find the 2013 Super Service Award logo next to company names in search results on AngiesList.com.
