Business Spotlight: Dental Practice Opens in Highwood Square

The former factory building on Dixwell Avenue is now home to residents and businesses.

A former Dixwell Avenue factory enjoying a new life as a retail and residential complex has a new occupant.

Connect Family Dental recently celebrated its ribbon cutting with Mayor Scott Jackson and the Hamden Chamber of Commerce President Nancy Dudchick.

Connect Family Dental is located at 953 Dixwell Ave. at Highwood Square, a former factory building that has undergone a multi-million dollar renovation over the last decade.

Dr. Kunal Patel and Dr. Chandra M. Manish run the dental practice and said they have designed it to provide "a relaxing, comfortable environment where patients can receive the best dental care including aesthetic treatments."

They believe that communication between patients and dentist is critical to a successful relationship. They educated their patients about all procedures and explain all treatment options.

Connect Family Dental accepts all major insurances including Connecticut State Insurance (HUSKY, Title 19, SAGA or Medicaid). They have financing through credit card which offers 0% financing for up to 12-18 months qualified patients.

Affordable Residential Units and Retail Space

The affordable residential space in the building caters to artists. It opened for residential use two years ago after a lottery was conducted to select its new residents.

The retail space is now ready and being marketed on the former Brownfield site that underwent an extensive clean-up.
