Gas Prices Drop for Another Week

The average price per gallon is the lowest since mid-January.

 

Prices at the pump continue dropping in Connecticut, with the average per gallon now at $3.64. That’s down four cents since the previous week and 16 cents from a month ago, according to price tracking website Connecticut Gas Prices.

The national average is $3.43 per gallon.

“The national average has now dropped to its lowest level since February 4," said Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan, of GasBuddy.com. Connecticut Gas Prices is operated by GasBuddy.com

Some experts warn that prices could hit $5 a gallon this summer, but in the short term, DeHaan told The Tribune Review prices could drop through July 4.

The cheapest gas price in Hamden according to the Commute section is $3.53 a gallon at Hess at 1126 Dixwell Ave.
