Committee chair Marni Esposito from Live Healthy Now/Take Shape For Life knows first handthat having the freedom of working from home is not as easy as it seems. She also realized early on that in order to build her business to what it is today, she needed to reach out to experts in fields that support her efforts while maximizing her own personal skills.

"No one can do it all -- marketing, finances, networking, business strategy and so much more," she said. "The more we can exchange, the better we build each other, our community and our personal businesses to where everyone wins"

HOME BASE will have an "Opening Day" Reception at the Hamden Chamber office on Sept. 13th at 5 p.m. Owners of home based business are invited to join the committee and to help the chamber reach out to the thousands of home based business owners in Hamden.

“I’m excited to launch this new initiative," said Chamber President Nancy Dudchik. "We continue to look for and serve unique markets that bring people together to increase business awareness, job opportunities and to connect with one another.

"The home-base business owners are an important segment that we can truly make a difference for and support.” said Dudchik.
