HAMDEN VISION FOR VACANCIES: Whitney Sandwich and Benjamin Moore

Both stores in the same building at 2308 Whitney Ave. are now closed. What would you like to see go in there?

An empty building now stands at 2308 Whitney Ave., the former home of Whitney Sandwich and Benjamin Moore Paint. 

The building is next to the former Centerville Lumber, which also closed and is still vacant and for sale Both properties, a total of 5.44 acres, are being marketed together and are for sale for $3.2 million.

Back in December, what you would like to see go in where Centerville Lumber operated. Now we want to know -- what should go in the Whitney Sandwich and Benjamin Moore building?

Check out the CVS parking lot when the High School lets out. I've seen "Daddy" picking up…Read More little "Johnny" in a Town owned car. We know it was tax money paying for the gas, just hope it was lunch time. I thought the Town was cracking down on inappropriate use of vehicles. I hope not many have use of a car on Sunday, and sure hope they were on Town duty. Yes, Angela, sadly you are right, nothing will change, but there is always a chance maybe someone will listen.

THAT IS THE VOTING HERE IN HAMDEN- INSANE THAT PEOPLE CONTINUE TO VOTE DEMOCRATIC AND EXPECT THINGS TO CHANGE. If you notice all cities with the democratic party in charge in the U.S. has the same problems. Start with New Haven, Hamden, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans, they all have the same problems. Welfare, union legacy costs, taxation, North Haven seems to be run better, must check that out. Don't know if that is a democrat or not.

Beth there is so much abuse in this town it is ridiculous. How about getting stopped for seat belt…Read More violations when most of the police do not wear them, or when they use cell phones instead of hands free devices. Could go on and on but who cares it will change NOTHING.
