Coins to Help Teach Technology

Connex Credit Union kicks off fourth quarter “Coins for Change” program benefiting local community organizations for 2013

Hamden, Conn. (October 2, 2013) – Connex Credit Union will donate all fees collected from their Hamden branch coin counting machine from October 1 through December 31 to Concepts for Adaptive Learning (CfAL). The coin counting machine charges 5 percent to Connex members and 7 percent to non-members. Every quarter Connex chooses different local organizations for each of their four coin counting machines located in Guilford, Hamden, North Haven and Wallingford.

CfAL is an independent, non-profit organization based in New Haven, Connecticut that has been serving urban communities since 2003 by giving educational technology services to families and schools. CfAL helps improve the education of disadvantaged public school children by using the resources of technology as the primary strategy for achieving its mission.
