ConneXfactor Seeks Participants for Financial Fitness Challenge

Connex Credit Union to Award Challengers with $5,000 Grand Prize

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (Mar. 5, 2014) – Financial fitness can be quite the challenge for many people, but with the guidance from a financial advocate, it could lead to a life-changing experience. If you’re looking to get a handle on and better manage your finances, Connex Credit Union is seeking five participants for its ConneXfactor challenge.

ConneXfactor is a contest where five families or individuals will compete just over 5 months to see who can improve their financial situation by setting and meeting goals to improve their financial well-being. Each participant will be assigned a dedicated ConneXfactor “coach” who will provide real-life guidance and financial tips and techniques. The payoff is a grand prize of $5,000, a first prize of $1,000, a second price of $500 and a better financial understanding and outlook for all participants.

“ConneXfactor is an example of our customer advocacy program and commitment to helping our members get to a better financial place,” said Carl J. Casper, vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union.

Casper added that while space for ConneXfactor is limited to five participants, anyone can participate and learn something from the challenge through the dedicated website or by visiting a Connex branch. “In addition to providing information on the participants’ progress, ConneXfactor.com also will provide budget sheets, financial tips and other helpful information to anyone looking to better their own finances financial outlook. We also encourage our members, and those interested in becoming members, to visit a Connex branch where they can obtain the same experience and service from our dedicated staff."
