Deck the House Contest: This House Could Win $100,000 for Hamden Schools

This Hamden house is one of the 24 finalists in Patch’s Deck the House contest. Vote now to help this entry win $100,000 for Hamden schools.

Could this be the best “decked” house in the country?

Possibly.

Congrats to Leshea Schaivone for being chosen as one of the 24 finalists in our Deck the House contest.

We had tons of national entries in this year’s Deck the House contest and in our quest to find the most over-the-top holiday decorations in the country, we’ve seen everything from a life-size Santa to holiday lights so bright they could blind the neighbors.

We loved seeing everyone’s holiday spirit, but Deck the House isn’t over yet. We’re still looking for the one home so spectacularly decorated that it could be the national grand prize winner of our contest—and it could be a home from right here in Hamden.

Until Dec. 27, vote in our contest to help this entry win $100,000 for Hamden's Public Schools. Tell all your friends on Facebook and Twitter, get the PTA involved -- just get as many people as you can to cast a vote for Leshea's house to put Hamden over the top!

All you have to do is visit this page to browse a gallery of the finalists and cast your vote. On Dec. 28, we’ll announce the grand prize winner of our Deck the House contest.

So, now’s your chance to tell us who has the best “decked” house in the country. Vote today!

It can not win if the voting is accurate. My suppoters can't vote because of a glitch in the site and I have emailed and asked what is going on and no one is responding to me. If anyone has an issue please leave a comment!

From the above picture, this house would not fall into the best 10,000 Christmas decorate house category. A better picture or video is required for me to see differently or I need put on my reading classes.

Were other pictures of this house submitted? This is simple elegance when the contest called for over the top. Have you seen the other finalists? If I had known, I would've submitted photos of my outside decor which is more on the fun side. No offense to Ms. Schiavone, I like the simple, elegant look, I cycle my decor every so often and at one time have done the all white traditional lights. I'm guessing no one else submitted for Hamden or they didn't use all her submitted pictures.

I agree this is not the biggest or best but the pickings must have been slim so vote anyway to benefit the town. And she tried and no one else took the time to enter so give her some credit.
