I found this important information on the HamdenPatch front page, not on the Hamden web page. “Mayor Scott Jackson and Fire Chief Beradesca report that the Town’s Emergency Shelter will be located at the Hamden High School and will be in operation from Sunday, October 28th at 6:00 PM until Wednesday, October 31st at 6:00 PM.” Hamden’s web page just has this below information regarding Hamden's Town State of Emergency plan. “TRASH PICK-UP WILL BE DELAYED UNTIL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31st” A good number of Hamden residents do not have Facebook or Twitter accounts. I hope the communication regarding storm Sandy and Hamden’s Local State of Emergency plan for the Town will improve in the next few hours on Hamden’s web page for the safety and wellbeing of Hamden residents. posted 2:38PM 10/28/2012
