Leaf and Brush Pickup Starts Monday

Debris from last weekend's snow storm also will be taken if left curbside.

Public Works Director Craig Cesare announces the scheduling of Fall leaf and brush collection and reminds residents of the guidelines.  

Leaf and brush collection will begin Monday, Nov. 7th.  Please have leaves and brush at curb by this date to ensure pick-up.  

Leaves must be placed in paper bags (not plastic) and brush must be bundled and tied with string or twine.  Bundles should weigh no more than 50 lbs, exceed no more than four feet in length and contain no pieces in excess of four inches diameter.

Bundled brush and bagged leaves should be placed curbside separate of each other and away from trash and recycling.  No bags or brush bundles should be placed in the street or in any way block a sidewalk. Disposal of root systems,grass clippings and soil are prohibited.  

Leaves cannot be picked up from private roads or from roads that have not been accepted into the town road system. Residents on unaccepted and private roads may bring leaves to the Transfer Station during normal hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., as well as the first and third Saturdays of the month from 8 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
