Police: Man, 74, Masturbated in Car; A 5 mph Car Chase; Golf Cart Bumper Cars; BOE Employee Charged

STRATFORD – Police arrested a 74-year-old Stratford man this week for allegedly masturbating in his vehicle while parked at Short Beach.

A woman told police she witnessed it. When police arrived, the man, who police identified as Pat Staltaro, reportedly had his pants down and a container of cream and soiled napkins in the car.

He was charged with breach of peace and public indecency. Here’s the full report.

NORTH BRANDORD – A 29-year-old New Haven man engaged police in a car chase this week – at 5 mph.

Police said an officer spotted the man, who police identified as Eliezer Luna, traveling 5 mph in a 45 mph zone. When police attempted to pull him over, Luna reportedly kept driving at the same rate of speed. Ultimately an officer had to use a police cruiser to block Luna’s vehicle from veering into oncoming traffic, and the chase ended there, according to the police report.

Police said Luna was in possession of PCP and was charged with possession, along with a handful of other charges. For the full report, click here.

FAIRFIELD – Police arrested a 25-year-old Bridgeport man accused of by stealing a golf cart from one course and smashing it into golf carts at another. The man allegedly stole a golf cart from an elderly woman playing golf at Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield and drove the cart to Fairchild Wheeler Golf Club, where he smashed it into three golf carts, causing $1,600 in damage, as well as additional damage to the greens.

MILFORD – Police said a Board of Education employee was hit with charges this week for allegedly hitting a pedestrian with a snow plow this winter.

The driver, identified as Dale Kubek, 50, of Milford, maintains he didn't realize he had struck anything on Jan. 26, when the accident was reported at Darina Place and High Street, according to police.
