[ADOPTED!] Senior Girl Needs An Angel

Cheyenne's owners abandoned her, and now this 13-year-old finds herself in jail and isn't doing well.

Update at 6:40 p.m.

Good news! Cheyenne has been adopted!!

From Robyn Thomas Lisone via the East Haven Patch Facebook page:

UPDATE from the Shelter: Someone in the family came down, since the dog already knew the family member... its best for the dog to stay with familiar folks and she still gets to see her Momma who is a senior herself... that old girl had a beautiful story... and she gets good supplements and now she is going to live out the rest of her days with what she has known since she was 3 months old THANK YOU TO ALL who have supported, networked, shared, loved, cried.... BAC appreciates it!! As does Cheyenne.

Original Post

13 yr old Cheyenne is an owner surrender. She is a little achey but has her wits..she's NOT loving jail.

She is not aggressive in anyway.. she is very very distraught, gut wrenchingly distraught and she wont even look at us. It's very sad, she feels shame and she shouldn't be feeling shame at all.

She has cataracts, arthritis, and doesnt always eat well. She is spayed. She is afraid of thunder. She is good with other dogs and good with children.

She slept in a dog house or in the house if it was cold out. She is house trained. She has no bad habits and never escaped.

while receiving Staples Rewards does help defray the cost of supplies for the teachers, they areRead More STILL putting cash out of their own pockets! This should not be. But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
