Yale Equestrians Eyes Land in Hamden for Polo Arena
Former Mayor John Carusone believes that would be bad for Hamden residents.
Earlier this month, the Planning and Zoning Commission aired some for town interests, and now a question has been raised about a plan Yale University might be pursuing.
According to an article by the New Haven Register, former mayor John L. Carusone criticized a plan by the Yale Polo & Equestrian Center to establish a polo arena adjacent to East Rock Park.
Carusone told the Register he has concerns about the smell of horse manure in the Hamden neighborhood near the property and that insufficient parking would also be a problem.
