Legislative Council Eighth District: Republican Dave Pecoraro

My name is Dave Pecoraro and I am running for the Legislative Council in the 8th district.  I have been a lifelong Hamden resident and am a graduate of both Hamden High School and Quinnipiac University. 

I have worked in the private sector as both a pilot and small business owner and understand what is needed to attract businesses to town and ultimately decrease the tax burden on hard working homeowners.  In addition to working in the private sector, I have been a police officer for seven years and know the benefits interactive programs can have to decrease crime in our neighborhoods.

I decided to run because I feel Hamden is heading in the wrong direction.  We currently have out of control spending, skyrocketing taxes and increased crime rates.  Our town is spending money well beyond what we can afford.  This is illustrated clearest by simply driving by the Hamden Town Hall.  

We need leadership that will promote fiscal responsibility and work to bring the right type of businesses to Hamden.  I’m asking for your vote on Election Day, so together we can build a better Hamden.
