Legislative Council Ninth District: Republican Marjorie Bonadies

Candidates for office were offered the opportunity to submit a profile about themselves and why residents should vote for them. Republican Marjorie Bonadies is running for the Legislative Council from the Ninth District.

Hello, my name is Marjorie Bonadies.  We may have met face to face as I have been walking the 9th district these last two months or I may have left a card to introduce myself to you.

I am running for a seat on the Legislative Council to represent the the 9th district.  This will be my first term if elected.

I am running because I think Hamden has the potential to be a vibrant and desirable place to live and raise a family. Hamden is a college town with all the sports and cultural opportunities that come with it. We have a beautiful Sleeping Giant Mountain to climb and hike through, we have rivers to fish in and areas for retail and dining.

But we also have a poorly managed and unfunded pension obligation and rising debt, as well as stagnant business growth and schools that have been designated as "needs improvement".  In order for the town to grow economically and attract young families to invest in Hamden, we need a change in leadership and direction.

The council needs new voices and more party balance.  Together we CAN create a better Hamden.  Vote for a change in direction, vote row A on Tuesday, November 5th.

Thank you,
Marjorie Bonadies
