Legislative Council Sixth District: Republican Betty Alberico

Candidates for office were offered the opportunity to submit a profile about themselves and why residents should vote for them. Republican Betty Alberico is running for the Legislative Council from the Sixth District.

Betty Alberico is running for the Hamden Legislative Council in the Sixth District.

Betty has lived in Hamden for over 20 years and loves living here. Betty has also owned a small business in Hamden for 24 years. Betty will work hard to make the Sixth District and the town a better place to live in.

Hamden needs to make some drastic changes in how the local government is run. I believe the town needs to provide better services that affect the quality of life of our citizens. We need to provide more and better services to our seniors and disabled citizens. Everyone should be able to receive good services, whether a homeowner or a renter.

Hamden needs to make better efforts to curb crime. The town also needs to  make a better effort to the quality of our education. We want them to be safe. "Remember our children are our future". We need to work harder on attracting new businesses to Hamden and not losing the ones we already have.

Betty has also expressed a major concern over the town finances and management which affects everyone in town. It is clear that Hamden needs better management and new leadership. We need to move forward to a better government and have a town that the citizens of Hamden can say, "I love Hamden and am proud to live here."

Betty believes that the future of Hamden can be bright, but only if we make changes and start working on the changes, NOW.
