“Talk About Communication: Twenty-five Years of Communication at Fairfield University,”

 


Three Fairfield University communication professors will present their most recent research into culture, interpersonal communication, the media and more at “Talk About Communication: Twenty-five Years of Communication at Fairfield University,” a new, free lecture series to be held on campus. The public is welcome to the inaugural session, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, in the Dolan School of Business Dining Room.


The event will feature the following three presentations:

  • David Gudelunas, Ph.D., assistant professor of communication, “Communication taboos: Media, culture, and sex”

  • Qin Zhang, Ph.D., associate professor of communication, “Psychological reactance and verbal defensiveness in the workplace: The effects of perceived face threat and interactional justice in supervisor requests”

  •  Michael Pagano, Ph.D., associate professor of communication, “Getting interpersonal with simulation pedagogy: A collaborative approach”


The lecture series is funded by a grant from the Humanities Institute of FairfieldUniversity’s College of Arts and Sciences. A second evening of presentations will take place in Spring 2013.
