It’s that time again! For $15 you can make your own, hand crafted wreath from fresh greens complete with baubles and bows! Check or exact change helpful.

This workshop fills up quickly. There are 3 sessions of 25 people each. 10:00 am, Noon and 2:00 pm. It takes approx. 60-90 min. to make your wreath. You need to call or email the park to RESERVE YOUR SPOT IN ADVANCE. If your session is already full we will get back to you to offer you the next available. This workshop is not suitable for young children though some have tagged along and a coloring table will be at the ready. Teens perhaps as some have enjoyed it in the past!

And by the way, this is NOT only a girl event. Quite a few Dads and sons have come to make a wreath and surprise the lady in their life! Try it, you may be surprised how much you like doing it.

All wreaths are 12″ and made with fresh greens. This IS a hands on, saps on, working event. If you have clippers and or gloves, bring them please.

Ranger Vinny is looking for more sources for gresh greens such as balsam, spruce and long needle pine. He will come cut them if you have branches needing trimming.

There are quite a few volunteers who help with this event after making their own wreaths for many years. Fran, Lisa and Colby and Zandra (hopefully this year, right?). MaryAnn makes the gorgeous bows, Some combination of Gail, Betsy, Kay and Tina do registration, snacks and bauble making. Me, I drink coffee, chat and take photos. (wink). If you’d like to bring a snack to share, please do!

Call the park at 203-287-2669 or email staff@brooksvale.org

Remember, ALL proceeds this year are going to help build that NEW animal barn. We are sooooo close to goal!
