The Heronettes invite young swimmers to start the New Year with a new sport!
A new clinic is beginning on Monday, 1/13, 5:45-6:45 PM for swimmers
aged 6 and up. Synchronized swimming is a a sport like no other,
combining elements of dance and gymnastics in the pool.
The first session is FREE with no obligation to continue, a great opportunity to try the sport. No advance registration is required. The clinic is held
on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45-6:45 PM. The enrollment fee for 10
sessions (ending February 19) is $140.
Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) and be comfortable with their face underwater. They should wear a bathing suit and bring a towel.
The clinic is held at Hamden High School, 2040 Dixwell Ave. The pool
entrance is in the rear of the building. For more information, email
info@heronettes.org.
The Heronettes (www.Heronettes.org) are an elite competitive team founded in 1970. Synchronized swimming, an Olympic event since 1984, requires grace, strength, flexibility, stamina, drama, musicality, and endurance.
