WOODIN STREET FENCE "UPDATE" MEETING

In spite of a huge turnout, last year, and pretty much UNANIMOUS and
very vociferous objection from Hamden residents, those of us near the
Woodin[g] Street "Fence" are aware that,
Mayor DeStefano's withdrawal or not, they've just been going ahead,
willy-nilly, with their plans to adjoin a new, gentrified slum to the
Twin Brooks/Woodin[g] Street neighborhood in Southern Hamden.

We can see the construction plainly, as well as "call-before-you-dig"
marks on the Hamden side, where we can already see a bit of tell-tale
clearing of the ground near the fence which has protected the
neighborhood from the crime that plagued it before the fence was put in
place and fortified.

It is unfortunate that this meeting
was scheduled to coincide with the Eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest
evening in the Jewish calendar, and so even mildly observant Jews will
be unable to attend.  Perhaps someone in attendance can record the proceedings for interested Jewish citizens of Hamden who cannot attend.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
