This meeting we will be, among other things, focusing on our very exciting project for 2012-2013, The AAUW Tech Trek Camp East! Tech Trek, originally developed and produced by AAUW of California, is a weeklong science and math summer camp designed to develop interest, excitement, and self-confidence in STEM fields for girls entering the eighth grade. The camp immerses attendees in a world in which they are empowered by their capabilities and encouraged to think about themselves as future scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. Come join us as we create this awewome camp experience for our girls!! Spread the word and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday! Thanks to all of you who came to last month's meeting! But Kudos to the teachers who put their students above their own financial situation. The Town and parents should be footing the costs, not the teachers.
