Hamden Community Services Seeking Thanksgiving Donations

This year there's a greater need than ever for donations for Thanksgiving meals for 400 families.

Hamden Community Services Department will distribute Thanksgiving meals to approximately 400 needy Hamden families next week.

The recent reduction in SNAP benefits (formerly Food Stamp Program) has forced more families to come to the Hamden Food Bank it to stretch their monthly food allotment.

It is not too late to send in your donation. We will accept donations until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Collection bins are in place at Miller Library, 2901 Dixwell Ave., the Hamden Government Center, 2750 Dixwell Ave. and at the Keefe Community Center at the corner of Dixwell Avenue and Pine Street.
