It is with heartfelt greatfulness that I want thank all who helped make the 13th Annual Brooksvale Fall Festival a grand success. The weather cooperated and the wind stayed light as the sun rose over the park to dry Autumns first frost.
Working together with Hamden's Departmets of Arts, Recreation & Culture, Public Works Recreation Division, Fire Department, Police Department, K-9 Unit and Animal Control, volunteers were priceless.
It is only with the willing and able assistance of volunteers from the Friends of Brooksvale Park, Inc., Hamden High School, Hamden Middle School, Quinnipiac University Fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, C.E.R.T., Animal Control, Frontline Christian Church and many more that a community event such as this can happen.
In a time when so much else demands our attention, theme parks, national sporting contests and big ticket fairs, I think it's nice to know there is a place in Hamden where you can just come and enjoy a relaxing day in the park enjoying some fresh air and sunshine.
See you at the park!
