A bid for some fun? Try an Auction

Auctions can be a spectator sport.

By Greg Van Antwerp — The Urban Archeologist

If you've only seen them on TV and never attended one, you may be missing some inexpensive entertainment.  Antique and estate auctions are happening several times a month and, as long as you don't get too involved, you won't have to worry about overspending.

For example, there is an auction being conducted by Applebrook Auctions at the Southbury Firehouse on Main ST South in, you guessed it, Southbury.  I got a chance to see and record a short preview of some showpieces. Watch the video here.

Remember, it doesn't cost anything to attend and watch the other bidders have at it. Take a look and see the fun and learn the ropes this Friday night.
