Experts, Vendors Sought for Brooksvale Fall Festival

Annual event looking for educators, craftspeople, vendors of handmade, locally produced items to sell at the popular festival.

Plans are underway for the 13th Annual Brooksvale Festival to be held at Brooksvale Park on Saturday, October 13 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m.

Come for horse drawn hay rides, tractor drawn hay wagon rides, pony rides, casting clinic, Reptile House, face-painting, kid’s games, lively music and great food.

Experts are needed to share their knowledge such as Environmental Educators, traditional Craftspeople such as blacksmithing, chair caning, quilting, basketry and weaving, etc.

We are also aware of the need for school groups, scout troops, PTA’s and other community organizations to get the word out about their unique cause or fundraising effort. We encourage you to offer a fun hands-on activity for kids while you spend time sharing your efforts with the parents and adults who visit your table. There is no fee to participate. You will need to provide your own pop-up tent should you wish cover from sun or showers. Tables and chairs will be available on a first come, first serve basis. There is no electricity available and no generators are allowed. It is your responsibility to secure and have on hand the necessary permits such as those required for fund-raisers involving raffle prizes.

Those who would like to sell hand-crafted products made of natural materials are being sought again this year. There is a $30.00 fee to participate. We are looking for wood carvers, potters, weavers, leather craftspeople, etc. If you make natural soaps, honey, candles and the like, drop us an email. We are not interested in mass produced items made in factories or other countries or from materials not found in our natural world here in our little corner of New England. If you are interested, send us an email inquiry and per approval of the festival committee you will be emailed the registration forms and information.

For more information and registration materials, call the park at 203-287-2669 or email the park at staff@brooksvale.org
