The owner of Fred Allesandrine Distributing Company passes away.

Hamden resident Alfred Louis Allesandrine Jr., 76, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 23, 1936, the son of the late Alfred Louis Sr. and Rose (Pierucci) Allesandrine.

Alfred was a graduate of St. Anthony's Grammar School, Hillhouse High School, and Quinnipiac University, where he earned a bachelor's degree.

He was the owner of Fred Allesandrine Distributing Company and served in the United States Air Force.

Alfred will always be known as a loving father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family.

He is survived by a son Louis and his wife Jill Allesandrine of Ridgefield; three daughters, Amy and her husband John Kennelly of Cheshire, Janet and her husband Michael O'Brien of North Attleboro, MA, and Jaime Allesandrine of Hamden; a sister Elizabeth and her husband Paul Riordan of Santa Ana, CA; and six grandchildren, Michael Alfred and and Christopher Richard Allesandrine, Owen and Aliza Kennelly, and Evan and Ella O'Brien.
