Anna Castiglioni, 92

The funeral for the Hamden resident, who was an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan, is this morning at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Anna Castiglioni, 92, of Hamden, wife of the late George Castiglioni passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.

She was the mother of Patricia and the late Glenn Estep and John Castiglioni and the beloved grandmother of Jacqueline Ziegler and her husband James.

She is also survived by her two brothers Anthony and Joseph Scialla and one sister Elaine Capecelatro.

Anna is the daughter of the late Leopold and Maryann Maffeo Scialla. She was predeceased by three brothers, Augustine, Dominick and Donald Scialla and three sisters, Margaret Leddy, Rose Girard and Anita Sisson.

Anna was an avid UCONN Girls Basketball fan.

Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
